Eisenhower Dance, one of the Midwest's premier contemporary dance companies, was established by artistic director Laurie Eisenhower in the summer of 1991. Since its inception, Eisenhower Dance has been dedicated to the performance of a diverse range of contemporary dance works. Considered by critics to be one of the finest contemporary dance companies in the nation, the Company has received overwhelming critical acclaim along with enthusiastic audience support. Coupled with Ms. Eisenhower's highly acclaimed choreography, Eisenhower Dance showcases the works of talented young artists along with choreographers with established reputations.
Charlie Miller is a promising third-year jazz student at Wayne State University. Having previously toured Europe with the Blue Lake International Jazz Orchestra, he now frequents Detroit by playing trumpet for the Charlie Miller Quartet and for local jazz festivals.
Two Muses Theatre is a "Theater inside a bookstore" operating out of West Bloomfield, MI. Founded by Barbie Weisserman and Diane Hill, Two Muses centers around women, and women's issues. It not only promotes local artists, but partners with local charities to give back to the community.
