Scott Hocking

Scott Hocking is an artist who makes sculptures mostly out of items he finds in Detroit. He takes photographs of the pieces in their seemingly natural environment to document the transformation and character of the city. Inspired by archaeology, urban economics, and spite, Hocking conveys meanings with things like eggs made of concrete and sewer drains stacked on top of one another. If you are interested in learning more about Scott Hocking, you can check out his website, or his Instagram @scotthockingdetroit.
